While a trailer should hopefully be with us soon, Prime Video has finally shared a first look at their upcoming action-thriller series The Terminal List, which stars Chris Pratt (Jurassic World: DominionGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) as James Reece.

The series is based on Jack Carr's best-selling novel of the same name and will debut with its eight-episode freshman season on July 1.

The Terminal List will pick up shortly after Reece's entire Navy SEALs platoon is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. Upon returning home to his family, his conflicting memories of the event begin to raise questions about his culpability. However, as new evidence surfaces, he quickly discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life but the lives of those he loves.

In addition to Pratt, the series stars Constance Wu, Taylor Kitsch, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Riley Keough, Arlo Mertz, Jai Courtney, JD Pardo, Patrick Schwarzenegger, LaMonica Garrett, Stephen Bishop, Sean Gunn, Tyner Rushing, Jared Shaw, Christina Vidal, Nick Chinlund, Matthew Rauch, Warren Kole, and Alexis Louder, among others.

Based on the best-selling novel by Jack Carr, The Terminal List follows James Reece (Chris Pratt) after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. Reece returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. However, as new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life, but the lives of those he loves.

“ The Terminal List, which stars Chris Pratt (Jurassic World: Dominion; Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) as James Reece (Chris Pratt)”

So glad you cleared up any confusion one might have had by just saying “ stars Chris Pratt (Jurassic World: Dominion; Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) as James Reece” with no explanation at all.

I want answers too. Who in the hell thought it was a good idea to get Chris Pratt to play Mario AND Garfield in their theatrical movies?? You’re making this man way too powerful!

With the new sites for Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Horror in mind, these three articles in a row make me realize we need an Action movie site too. Bet there will also be M:I stuff soon again (hopefully also another chance to see Rohan fly a helicopter)

I’m pretty over Chris Pratt tbh. It’s getting annoying seeing him in stuff

@Ha1frican - I respect his hustle but am baffled how he's getting all these big garbage roles when he's such a bland actor. The only thing I liked him on was ParksRec. Even in Guardians he was one of my least fav characters. I will always wonder how it would have been had they went with Glenn Howerton aka the golden god, the five star man.

I like Chris Pratt but he doesn’t make me want to see a film based on him being in it alone. The past couple sci-fi movies outside of Guardians and Jurassic World starring Pratt just don’t look that good to me, or should I say the trailers don’t intrigue my interest.
I hope it’s a good one though.

I know they made a lot of changes to the storyline from the books. I’m excited to see how they handle the torture scene and the beheading scene. Both scenes the author said they kept. Fun fact, author Jack Carr said he had Chris Pratt in mind when writing his novels.

@wolvie1892 - Did Jack Carr said he had Pratt in mind before or after Pratt was casted?

@WaffeX - before. He mentioned it on several podcasts. He even said he had an ideal director in mind if his books were to be made into movies. He definitely put some forethought into his second career.

He's like Jennifer Lawrence but not as severe. I think he's a tad overexposed and mix that with some people not liking things he has done in his personal life and you get the annoyance with seeing him in stuff now.

Eh, another Star-of-the-moment military drama

I'm fine with Pratt, dont love him but also don't hate him, so this is at about the same level as most other offerings.
