Prime Video's Hunters is nearly back for its second and final season and ahead of tomorrow's premiere, we sat down with actors Kate Mulvany ("Sister Harriet") to chat about all of the big secrets she's been keeping and how it could change everything for the Hunters as they track down Hitler.

Our time was brief, but she also elaborated on a surprising relationship Harriet finds herself in this season, and what it was like reuniting with her castmates after a pretty lengthy hiatus between seasons one and two.

ROHAN: Sister Harriet had a lot of secrets in season one and even more in season two, how much of her backstory did you know heading into season one and then, the whole Chava connection heading into season two?

KATE: Well, David talked me through it between seasons - David Weil, our amazing showrunner - and he likes to talk through it, because he's always open to if you have any suggestions yourself. He's well aware that as actors, we have now inhabited the characters that he created, and so he's always really intrigued as to what we might want to add to that, but with David, more often than not I go, it's there, it's there, you've given me everything I need, and I'll take it from there. So, yeah, there were a couple of things that needed to be explained to me, the Chava connection, you know, a brand new character coming in is like giving an extra jigsaw puzzle piece. So, we have to work out where that fits, but besides that, it's all there in the text and in the show.

ROHAN: Midway through the season, Sister Harriet finds herself in an unexpected relationship with someone and I think it's actually really perfect. Both of you have been through quite a bit of trauma and then, suddenly, just find one another. Can you tell me more about that?

KATE: I think it's exactly that, Rohan. I think you recognize traumas in one another, as human beings, we should, we can, we do, and that's, I guess, where empathy lays within us, and these two characters, Sister Harriet, and another one of the characters just see something in one another that is worth exploring, and I think it's a little bit there in season one too, but maybe that's something, that little glint of a storyline is something that David picked up and went with, and it's across the board as well. David Weil is an expert in taking relationships, unexpected relationships, or unexpected characters and putting them together in a scene or room or conflict or a relationship and Sister Harriet gets to explore that part of herself this season beautifully.

ROHAN: This show experienced a lengthy hiatus, what was it like getting back together for season two and embarking on this new adventure?

KATE: The good thing about this group of creatives is that we're all in touch with each other. You know, you can't bust up the Hunters, even COVID can't bust up the Hunters. So, we're always sort of shouting across the world to one another. ‘Hey, love ya, how’s it going? You okay?’ So, to finally get back into a room with each other, everything just fell into place very quickly. When you're shooting scenes with all the Hunters, it can be very complicated because there's often weapons drawn and there's action and there's jokes and there's kind of barbed comments and then, of course, there's the the bigger issue underneath every scene, which is what are we going to do with these Nazis that are out there, but everything fell into place beautifully, and we all know the Hunters that are on-screen are very different off-screen, so we all know who we play on-screen and we all know who we are off-screen and it makes for a really happy family environment.

After an accident derails their exploits in Europe, The Hunters must band back together to hunt down history's most infamous Nazi—Adolf Hitler—who's hiding in South America. Meanwhile, a look to the past reveals Meyer Offerman (Al Pacino) encountering a dangerous threat that could unravel his secret and expose his true identity, with explosive reverberations for our Hunters.

Al Pacino returns for the epic series conclusion of Hunters alongside previously announced new series regular Jennifer Jason Leigh and returning series regulars Logan Lerman, Jerrika Hinton, Lena Olin, Josh Radnor, Tiffany Boone, Carol Kane, Louis Ozawa, Kate Mulvany, and Greg Austin.

Hunters is produced by Amazon Studios, Monkeypaw Productions and Halcyon Studios. The series is created and executive produced by David Weil, who serves as showrunner; Jordan Peele and Win Rosenfeld from Monkeypaw Productions; Phil Abraham, David J. Rosen, Jerry Kupfer, and Alfonso Gomez-Rejon. David Ellender and Matt Loze from Halcyon Studios also serve as executive producers.

So who's gonna play Hitler?

@Feralwookiee -

He will be BUSY!

Everyone already has him playing James Bond, Superman, Abraham Lincoln, God, & Oprah. I hope he can find the time for Hitler.

Honestly, all these interviews get me pretty excited for the new season.

Like how they they used a two year time jump as a reason to change things up. Exactly what this show needed in my opinion.
