Tonight's high-octane episode of Syfy's hit series
The Expanse, "Reload," begins with the Nauvoo being salvaged by a team from Tycho Station. The focus then shifts largely between Earth and the Rocinante. In the former, the Secretary General addresses the UN council regarding the missile that killed almost two people in the Amazon. Anna realizes that she is unable to continue having her words and efforts be manipulated and is determined to leave.
The Rocinante is busy salvaging resources from the battlefield of a destroyed Martian warship. They discover several Martian soldiers trapped in the ship and rescue them, only for the Martians to retaliate and attempt to take control of the Rocinante to aid in the ongoing war. The situation is largely diffused by Holden and Draper, and Avasarala is able to get her message incrimating Errinwright into the right hands (eventually ending up in Anna's).
Meanwhile, on Io, Mao begins at odds with Strickland and his desire to experiment on the kids with the protomolecule. He however changes his mind and fully supports Strickland when they comes across a grisly scene of Katoa having dismembered the bodies of several workers to create something connected. Mao realizes that Katoa is the key to understanding everything with the protomolecule.
In next week's promo, the search for Prax's daughter brings the Rocinante crew to ground zero for an attack on warships from Earth and Mars that are near Jupiter. These ships appear to put their political differences aside and join forces to combat a common enemy when protomolecule hybrids are fired on them. Check out the promo and synopsis for next week's episode, titled "Triple Point," below:
