Seattle medical resident Olivia "Liv" Moore is turned into a zombie while attending a boat party. To cope with her new appetite for brains, Liv takes a job at the King County morgue and shares her secret with her boss, Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti. In order for Liv to survive, Ravi encourages her to eat the brains of murder victims who are delivered to the morgue. Whenever she eats a victim's brain, Liv inherits some of their personality traits temporarily. She also experiences flashbacks which often give her clues as to the nature of the murder. Liv uses this new ability to help the Seattle Police Department solve crimes, passing herself off as a psychic consultant.

Starring: Rose McIver as Olivia 'Liv' Moore, Malcolm Goodwin as Clive Babineaux, Robert Buckley as Major Lilywhite, Rahul Kohli as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti and David Anders as Blaine DeBeers.

iZombie returns January 12 2016, Tuesday 9/8c on CW.

iZombie was published by DC/Vertigo Comics.

@mrpagbrewster Yea I agree. I love the show and the writing and main actress are stellar. I think they dropped the ball in returning to the "forbidden love" trope once again. It looks to much like a move to force plot in the mid-season finale. It just didn't seem natural considering that they are so open and interested in communicating but then just break up so fast. hahaha

@MrPagBrewster I disagree. I always saw them getting back together as something temporary. A holding pattern they were in trying to pretend they'd found a new normal to live with. But every step of the way, as great as it was to see them happy together for some scenes, it was always going to be a holding pattern.

But now look, same episode Liv says they should stick to their own kind Ravi discovers the "Cure" has an expiration date of less than 200 days. Just as their getting back together was a temporary thing, so it turns out, "post-zombie humanism" is also, yet another temporary thing. And instead of focusing on their breakup drama we become acutely aware that there is now a countdown clock with a number we can't see counting down to a now inevitable return to Zombification for both Major and our dear Blaine. And just as Major will suddenly be forced to understand what Liv is going through it still won't make it any easier for them to be together.

@scionstorm

Am I mistaken, or isn't that new mouse entirely? Great catch on the expiration date, I didn't catch that.

I honestly feel bad for Major. Dude's been dragged through the mud countlessly throughout this entire show.

I have a feeling that Mr. Boss will either be dead or in prison by the end of the season. Also, for such a high profile mob boss who is "top of the food chain," he sure is out in the open a lot, doing his own henchmen work. It's a wonder he hasn't been assassinated by a rival character.
