"I am the future of strength as I am King of the Stones!" - Hafthor Bjornsson
Hafthor Bjornsson is probably best known for being the guy that killed Prince Oberyn Nymeros Martell (Pedro Pascal) on HBO's Game of Thrones. It kind of sticks in your head as your remember how his character, Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane, beat The Red Viper senseless and they gouged out his eyes and made his skull explode. Cable! And now, he can another notable achievement to his life: being Europe's strongest man! This event actually took place earlier this month but for some reason news outlets didn't pickup on it until recently. Anyway, the 6-foot-9, 420-pound Icelandic strongman won the competition. He had some fun with it as he ripped off his shirt and shouted to the crowd, "I am the future of strength as I am King of the Stones!" Though, who could blame him as he has come close in the past. Just ealier this year he was the runner-up in the World's Strongest Man competition and "finished third the previous two years."

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun. It will stretch from the south, where heat breeds plots, lust and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men...all will play the 'Game of Thrones.'
