The adventures of Ragnar Lothbrok: the greatest hero of his age. The series tells the saga of Ragnar's band of Viking brothers and his family as he rises to become King of the Viking tribes. As well as being a fearless warrior, Ragnar embodies the Norse traditions of devotion to the gods: legend has it that he was a direct descendant of Odin, the god of war and warriors.



Starring: Gustaf Skarsgård as Floki, Alexander Ludwig as Bjorn Lothbrok, Clive Standen as Rollo, Jordan Patrick Smith as Ubbe, Alex Høgh Andersen as Ivar, Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Bishop Heahmund and Katheryn Winnick as Lagertha.

New Vikings airs tonight, 9/8c on the History Channel.

I thought after Ragnar's death this show would go downhill real fast. Not at all!

If anything, the action picked up as many up-and-comers try to fill the massive void.
