AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Casts Mark Dacascos In The Recurring Role Of 'Giyera'

It seems like the Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. are constantly being faced with new enemies, but now they appear to have another ally in the form of Mr. Giyera, who'll be played by Mark Dacascos (Brotherhood of the Wolf, Mortal Kombat: Legacy). More past the jump...

Actor and martial artist Mark Dacascos has joined season 3 of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. in a "heavily recurring role". According to Deadline he'll be playing a character named Giyera, who'll apparently be introduced as S.H.I.E.L.D.'s new head of security.

Dacascos will be familiar to fans of '90s action movies, offering arguably his best work as Mani in Christophe Gans' underrated Brotherhood of the Wold.

Mr. Giyera will be introduced in the eight episode of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., which is titled "Many Heads, One Tale".

A new head of security? And looks like he will have May level of skills. Which means...........MAY DIES.....ANDREW KILLS HER....

When Coulson and May are gone I feel like this show could be much more appealing to me

I'm glad people are still enjoying it

Might be cool, I unlike other people will reserve judgment until I actually see it. Marvel has never, [frick]ing ever miscast a role.

Everything is subjective. Especially when it comes to comic fans.

Marvel is well know for hiring actors who embody their roles. When you look at Chris Evans that dude is Steve Rogers and so on and so forth. They have that reputation for a reason.

@GliderMan
What if Clay Quatermain was a fake ID used by Coulson at one point? It would be a nice nod to the comic book, just like Thor posing as Dr Blake in his first movie.

@Melkaticox
Now, I know who I want to be introduced in AOS: Wyatt Wingfoot! Unfortunately, Fox might own the rights to this character, due to his FF connections.

Too each his own sir. I personally think Scarlett kills it as BW although she should have a hit of a Russian accent.

I don't HATE these castings, but I understand one could say Jane Foster, Rhodey or even BW were miscast. But Foggy? Damn, the actor playing him is SO good!

@KurtWagner1225: Maybe he introduces necessary evil and cold-blooded decisions that makes SHIELD more....SHIELD. I mean, till now we are mostly seeing SHIELD as a white knight, which it was not.

@ManCalledSting

Totally agree, Foggy got better as the show went on, but there were definitely some rough moments there

But, since I said something that could be perceived as bad towards Marvel, I will now say

Daredevil is still my favorite show, because it is

In order to avoid confusion

@Melkaticox: King Shark is dead? I don't think so. But that will be very shameful if its true.

______________

Turning AoS thread into CBTV comparison thread......how great!!!! Would be bad if I won't get involve in this.

The show I love currently on air? Its AoS and Ash vs Evil Dead for me. I used to like Flash a lot, but recently I could clearly it has loads of flaws and probably one of the worst generic plot, writing and characters (except Harrison Wells, Joe West) Looks like this 'just fun' thing isn't working anymore. Arrow is.....meh.

Shifted more towards animes and Ergo Proxy has been great. Can't wait of AoT S2. Catching up with Tokyo Ghoul.
