AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Spin-Off Show In The Works
It was recently announced that the CW was planning a spin-off show featuring characters from both Arrow and The Flash, and now Marvel is following suit with an Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D sister series for ABC. Information is sparse, but click on to speculate on the few details we do have...
Entertainment Weekly reports that Marvel and ABC are planning to launch another series featuring characters first introduced in Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Which characters? No idea, as all plot details etc are still under wraps, but we do know that S.H.I.E.L.D exec producer Jeffrey Bell (Angel, The X-Files) and series writer Paul Zbyszewski (Lost) are involved. Plus, apparently some story elements that are still to come on S.H.I.E.L.D. this year will be used to "lay the groundwork for the potential new series".
Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D has never been what you'd call a ratings monster for Marvel, but the show has definitely improved in terms of overall quality so this should be seen as welcome news by most fans. The site also reckon that a third season for the flagship show is "pretty much guaranteed".
