Hank Pym. Calling it.

It won't be Pym, as he's in Antman. There won't be a lot of crossover between the films and show.

I hope its not Pym, as this guy is 45 and clearly too old, but I wouldn't mind having a Pym cameo somewhere in the show.

How about Franklin Hall/Graviton? He was a brilliant scientist that always had beef with Nick Fury and SHIELD.

I reckon it'll be SHIELD scientist, Sidney E. Leone aka "Gaffer". He could be like a Q character, always making cool inventions and gadgets for them

What makes anyone think it's a character from the comics? they haven't exactly casted many comicbook roles so far.

He's gotta be playing someone on the show. The question is who? Maybe who? More likely Doctor strange?!?!

@batz you just blew my mind. I believe you are right that they can use all their chars on tv. If they brought in ff or x-men chars I'd go nuts.

He's going to be somebody you've never heard of. He's not going to be a superhero we're going to recognize, if he's even a superhero. Remember how we all thought that one dude was Rage or Luke Cage and he turned out to be nobody.

God, all these people calling it as Pym. Um, no. They already said Pym would be in Antman. They are not going to force a casting choice on a movie from the show. Wright will be able to cast his own Pym.

I wonder... what are the chances of him being either A) Matt Murdock or B) Danny Rand.

They recently got back Daredevil, and Iron Fist would make for a great addition, and a potential Heroes for Hire Spin-off.

My first guess was Hank Pym, but J. August Richards "top secret" role ended up not even being a comic book character, so this guy is probably playing a nobody too. If not, it's probably Tinkerer or some other scientist from the comics, there's plenty of them in the Marvel Universe, so it could be anyone. I really do hope it's Pym though, and they've been lying about his place in the MCU. I still don't like the fact, that Pym won't appear until after Age Of Ultron.

Frank Castle could work, but i feel like he is the opposite of what Agents of SHIELD is trying to set up.

He's too old for Murdock or Rand. Maybe a villain?
FantasticSpidey
FantasticSpidey - 7/31/2013, 1:20 PM
That is a good point. I haven't really heard any villain chatter, and i would hope they don't turn this into a procedural. And interesting thought on Marvel Studios having the TV rights to their characters... Could this guy be Dr Doom?

Or what about... Klaw?

@irishyardball

I can see it working well. SHIELD finally cathes some bad guy then Frank just kills him in a sort of shock ending moment. Plus it could make for some badass Punisher manhunt arc at some point down the line.

Hear me out... What if he's Bruce Banner? Maybe Ruffalo didn't want to/couldn't do the show but will still play him in the movies. The only reason I suggest this possibility is because back when they were talking about Del Toro's now-dead Hulk tv series project, Feige said it would be part of the MCU but Ruffalo wouldn't be playing Banner. The problem with this theory is I think they wouldn't use Banner. Just throwing it out there.
FantasticSpidey
FantasticSpidey - 7/31/2013, 1:27 PM
Yeah i suppose that could work. They just seem to really be on the Good vs Evil kick with what they are doing. Punisher is a very gray character in a world of black and white. Will be interesting to see. They need to make sure he plays a comic character though, not enough of those have been announced yet.

If its a "Top Secret" role, then its a Marvel Comics Character.

If we have never heard of it, there is no need for it to be kept a secret.
