"Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films, as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson's team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage; Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), expert pilot and martial artist; Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), brilliant engineer; and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker, Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel’s first television series, is from executive producers Joss Whedon (Marvel's The Avengers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, who co-wrote the pilot (Dollhouse, Dr.Horrible's Sing-Along Blog). Jeffrey Bell (Angel, Alias) and Jeph Loeb (Smallville, Lost, Heroes) also serve as executive producers. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television."

Worked for me, but not much new. Looking forward to this series. It reminds me in a way of the Damage Control comic of the 1970s or 80s, but this will be much more fun and satisfying. Damage Control was much more tongue and cheek and meant for comedy.

For those uninitiated, Damage Control was about fixing the buildings and streets after a super fight. It didn't last long, but it was pretty funny. This is similar, but instead of rebuilding stuff, SHIELD is an investigations and enforcement unit. I think it will be pretty cool.

Ballsy move, Marvel. Better pull it off or the brand could be damaged. I for one cannot wait to see this.

It looks pretty good, and I'll be tuning in, but I'm not really excited by it. We'll see what happens!

This will be the first regularly scheduled Marvel television series on one of the "Big Three" Networks since 1982. That's 31 years, folks. The LAST was 'The Incredible Hulk'.

I think anybody who's a true fan of comic books should at LEAST check it out.

HA! No one was too excited to see Arrow either, and even though it didn't stick to the 'source material' and created its own world, now everyone is hoping Arrow can do for DC what WB hasn't got the balls to do, give us some kind of live action DCU! I'll be watching this, and Arrow and The Flash and enjoying myself while the rest of you bitch and moan about ... I don't know, what, that instead of a two hour film once every three years you're getting weekly tv shows about CB heroes...finally!?!
You're all a bunch of grumpy Gusto Grifs.
