We've already heard from Charlie Cox on all things Daredevil, but in this latest interview with HeyUGuys the former Boardwalk Empire actor explains how he found out the acclaimed show had been renewed for a second season. He's also asked one again about the rumored plans to have the character join the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the Avengers: Infinity War movies, and still claims to know nothing about it... but, he does reveal that he's contacted to appear should the studio decide to use him.


With the first season of "Marvel's Daredevil" proving a smash success with both audiences and critics, Netflix and Marvel will continue to create further adventures of the Man Without Fear! Doug Petrie ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "American Horror Story") and Marco Ramirez ("Sons of Anarchy"), who worked closely with Executive Producers Steven S. DeKnight and Drew Goddard during the first season, will serve as showrunners for Season 2. Petrie, Ramirez, Goddard ("Cabin in the Woods"), and Jeph Loeb ("Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.") will serve as Executive Producers of Season 2.

“While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season," DeKnight explains, "I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch. They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can't wait to see what they do with the show moving forward."

I'm assuming Infinity War will play out like this: Part I will be Thanos vs. Avengers/GOTG/Whoever else. and Part II will be the street level heroes keeping Earth in tact and what not.

I agree with his take on Affleck's DD. The Director's Cut is actually pretty good, but the Cox version shows how DD *should* be done. Really, this is how ALL serialized comic-book heroes should be done. Otherwise, the trap of trying to fit too much into one 2-hour movie is so difficult to avoid.

Yes, I know it was. But why couldn't that just be switched to Matt? It's not like that movie is exactly keeping the teams the same. Hawkeye is in it, but was not in the comic? So, does it matter?

Considering the success of the show, I'm putting the validity of a (potential) transfer to film for Cox up there with all the other things MCU actors deal with.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand why Ben Affleck gets hate for Daredevil?

I mean the film is directed by the director who did Elecktra and Ghost Rider 1.

Tom Rothman was running Fox when this film happened and we all know how much he LOVES COMIC BOOK FILMS.



I always thought Ben as Daredevil and MCD's Kingpin along with Colin's Bullseye were the best parts of the film.

Of course the show is much better because they have 13 hours to tell Daredevil's origin and story compared to 2 hours the film has but still out of what went wrong with the movie, Affleck is near the bottom of that if you wanna blame him. Hell even DeKnight thought Affleck was good as does Cox.

Also the music for the Daredevil film was awful.

He'll get a mention in civil war. Think about it, DD season 2 will premieres around the time that civil war will....that whole april and may thing. Maybe he gets a mention by one of the avengers

He's great in the role. Just amazing. Love the show. Bring on The Hand, Elektra, Echo, Vanessa managing Kingpin's overseas assests and Kingpin surviving prison for season 2.

Ben Affleck suit for season 2 just tweaked a bit. Mix in some armor and little less leather and I'm happy

I'd like a cameo/mention in Civil War, that's all.

Other than that, the only film I can see him "appearing" in is Spider-Man. What does a street level character have to contribute to a cosmic infinity war crisis? Not much. Trust me.

I'd like DD in the films, but I'm just not sure where he fits, other than the "go-to" lawyer, but only if the narrative is in New York.

This suit is fine, it just needs more spandex somewhat....I'd like it to resemble Cap's suit in TWS. A very light fabric. Mix in a little armor and DD is set.

5 episodes in so far. Already the best CBTV show there is. I still think AoS is my "favourite", but Daredevil is goddamn phenomenal.

Still don't like the red suit. It's just...I dunno...wrong. The nosepiece is awful, too.

But it has literally no effect on the quality of the show. I'd be perfectly happy if they would've kept the black suit, that's how good the show is.
