Daredevil's Charlie Cox was one of the special guests at this past weekend's Dragon Con in Atlanta and he entertained the audience with quite a few inside stories regarding the behind-the-scenes production of his Netflix superhero drama.  The former Boardwalk Empire actor kicked off the panel by expressing his excitement for the upcoming Luke Cage series but also heaped praise on the current pop-culture phenomenon,  Stranger Things.

In regards to Daredevil, Cox said he tried his best to avoid having a "Batman voice" while wearing the costume but it was virtually impossible to avoid.  At one point, the show's producers told him he was sounding a little "too much" like The Dark Knight but Cox replied that there's just not a lot of other ways to sound threatening while wearing a costume.

As for the most difficult scene to film during season 2, Cox stated that it was definitely the hallway fight against the Biker gang where he also had to carry Jon Bernthal's Punisher.  However, it was another behind the scenes story from Cox involving the Punisher that drew the most laughs from the audience.  Apparently producers were very impressed when Cox shed a tear while shooting the scene where Frank Castle tells Matt about his tragic backstory.  Only...Charlie said he doesn't remember actually crying.  When he got the chance to watch the scene he realized that it was actually sweat as they had just completed the aforementioned fight scene with the Biker gang.  "If I ever need to cry, I’m gonna carry Jon Bernthal."

Cox also disclosed that he apparently dyed his hair red for the role at some point but the hair color just didn't look right on him.  "We tried.  It looked really weird."

Daredevil season 3 was recently confirmed by Marvel and Netflix back in July but the series (along with Jessica Jones season 2) won't air until after The Defenders streams in 2017.
