Late last year, we found out that a new hour-long Marvel series was in the works at ABC from Wonder Woman writer Allan Heinberg, which was set to focus on an all-female team of heroes. Now, Deadline reports that the show has been cancelled.

No reason has been given for the pilot being scrapped, but it comes on the heels of the recent Netflix cancellations as well as yesterday's news that season 3 of FX's Legion would be its last, so it's a decent bet that most, if not all other Marvel-related TV shows will follow suit as the studio prepares to launch its own MCU-based content on the Disney+ streaming service.

We never really learned that much about the series, but it was expected to feature a group of lesser known characters. It sounds like there is a chance that the show could be redeveloped at a later date.

Forgot this was even a thing so no big loss. All that matters is we have two more seasons at least of the best comic book show.

I think all of Marvel Live Action TV is ultimately going to be on the chopping block and is going to be brought in house under Marvel Studios using the Disney Plus platform as their hub. We know Agents is getting 2 more seasons but I don’t see anything else making it past that and even Agents seems like it’s gearing up for a planned conclusion imo

I don't remember this even being ordered or developed so....oh well, I guess?

Disney still probably is trying to consolidate most MCU shows under Disney+ now, so this isn't a surprise even though they also own ABC.

If this female led show was the same as the female detective show they were planning, then it was probably Dakota North (meaning nobody here would be missing anything great).
