VisionQuest is set to premiere less than a week from now on October 14, so if you'd rather not know about a potential cameo, best stop reading now.
Final spoiler warning.
The latest Marvel television series, which will serve as the final part of a trilogy following WandaVision and Agatha All Along, may feature more than one surprise appearance, but this is most likely the character that will show up in the finale to lay the groundwork for a future MCU event.
According to a recent report from Feature First, VisionQuest "won’t connect to the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe but serves as a starting point for a new story, one that will loosely adapt the legendary comic run: Avengers: The Children’s Crusade."
Allan Heinberg’s 2010-2012 tale featured various characters from the Young Avengers, Avengers, and the X-Men, but primarily focused on Magneto helping Speed and Wiccan seek out their missing mother, the Scarlet Witch, when the latter's powers become unstable. Doctor Doom also factored into the story when it's revealed that the villain is engaged to the amnesiac Wanda.
How exactly VisionQuest will tie into The Children's Crusade remains to be seen, but the site also claimed that "a previous MCU character will make an appearance by the end of VisionQuest, serving as connective tissue for this upcoming plot."
It was generally assumed that this would be Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn), and it sounds like this was the original plan. However, MTTSH now reports that "Agatha was removed from VisionQuest and Billy (Joe Locke) will appear instead."
Wiccan showing up in the series that introduces his brother, Tommy/Speed, shouldn't come as a major surprise, but we can't help but wonder whether this info is inaccurate and "Ghost Agatha" will also appear.
