Netflix has debuted the first footage from the fourth season of its Emmy-nominated Karate Kid spinoff, Cobra Kai, which is set to hit the streaming service this December.

In the season 3 finale, Kreese (Martin Kove) turned to a mysterious individual for help after Johnny (William Zabka) and Danny (Ralph Machio) put their differences aside and joined forces. There was a lot of speculation that the person on the other end of the line was Karate Kid III villain Terry Silver, and sure enough, Thomas Ian Griffith (ponytail and all) is set to reprise the role for season 4.

Silver was an old war buddy of Kreese's, and the original financier of the Cobra Kai dojo. The character appeared in flashbacks during season 3, thanking Kreese for saving his life and promising to be "there for him" for the rest of his life.

Silver doesn't show up in this promo, but we do get some intriguing glimpses of the principal characters training for the All Valley Karate Tournament, which will see the newly formed Eagle Fang dojo join forces with Miyagi-Do to take on the now Kreese-controlled Cobra Kai.

"We have never been prouder of a season that we've put in the can," director Josh Heald said in a recent interview. "We've seen it and we know we've got the goods. We cannot wait for the fans of this franchise to see everything we did this season knowing everything we went through to put that into place. It's an amazing memory we'll all have knowing that it was a battle and we won."

Tell us, have you been watching Cobra Kai? If so, what are you hoping to see from this fourth season?

Cobra Kai is a great show one of the very few things I enjoy on Netflix. I don't pay for Netflix I have a brother with a Subscription that I use.

This show is how you properly revive a cult classic to get new fans without insulting, shaming or alienating the original fans. The Terry Silver teaser for season 4 that’s on Netflix really got me excited for this season. Can’t wait!!!! 🤩👍🙌

@AnthonyVonGeek - the assumption that this show wouldn't revive the franchise properly scared me and I am glad I was wrong.

only saw the first few eps. seemed pretty good. i could not watch any more in fear that they would ruin it by having Daniel and Johnny fight each other. it would make zero sense. does this ever happen?

@grif - Yup. Half of the show is about them at odds. Zabka steals the show.

@grif - yes I think multiple times but doesn’t feel forced.

@grif - they have a couple small skirmishes here and there but they don’t really get into any major crazy fights against each other. The tension between them from the first movie all the way up to the end of season 3 is a fun ride.

I hope season 5 is the last season or this show will jump the shark in a hurry.

I'm curious to how many cameos this season. Terry is obvious and I feel like Mike Barnes should be as well. hopefully we save some for next season. and who will win the damn all valley?!?!?

@Chuck420Taylor - She probably is too big/busy for the show, but I would kinda be disappointed, if they couldn't find away to sneak in a Hilary Swank cameo, before the show is over.

@Chuck420Taylor - I’d like to see Barnes return but as a matured level headed martial artist like they did with Chozen. It would be cool to see him show up and give Daniel and Johnny some advice on how to defeat Crease and Silver.

@Chuck420Taylor - Yeah, Terry for sure. Maybe Barnes. In fact I hope Barnes shows up. I'm not really sure there's anyone else. The only other two I can think of are Hilary Swank and Jayden Smith.

I could see them using Hilary Swank as like the 2nd student of Mr Miyagi that Daniel only heard of but never met. And Jayden Smith would just be terrible since his movie is like a different timeline. But they could figure something out of they really wanted to, even though literally no one is asking for it lol.
