Sandra Bullock has tried her hand at a number of different genres over the course of her 30+ year career, and although she has dabbled in sci-fi (Demolition Man, Bird Box), she has yet to find herself suiting-up for a comic book/superhero project.
The Academy Award-winner was reportedly courted to play Diana back when Joss Whedon was at the helm of Warner Bros.' first attempt to get a Wonder Woman movie off the ground, but the Speed star has now revealed that she was offered another superhero movie role a few years ago.
Bullock didn't specify which film, but she did drop a few hints during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
"I was approached for something that wasn't Marvel, but my son said not to do it. It was kind of in the place that Louis felt I shouldn't be... and he was actually right. I saw it when it came out and I was like, 'Ooo! That's unfortunate.'"
Bullock would also confirm that it wasn't a DC movie, before adding that her 11 year-old son was around 6 at the time and that she's sure "the internets will" figure it out.
This does narrow it down a little, and if the movie came out in 2016 or 2017, we're going to hazard a guess that it was either X-Men: Apocalypse or Power Rangers! We've no idea who Bullock would have played in the former, so our money would be on the part Elizabeth Banks would ultimately land in the latter, Rita Repulsa.
There's still plenty of time for Bullock to board one of the big superhero franchises, of course, but it doesn't sound like it'd be something she'd be particularly interested in: "I don't think I'm Marvel material."
