Star Wars Rebels ended on a huge cliffhanger, and while there were rumblings about an animated follow-up, Rosario Dawson's debut as a live-action Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian set the stage for this year's Ahsoka.
The live-action series looks set to follow the former Jedi as she hunts down Grand Admiral Thrawn in an effort to find the missing Ezra Bridger. Sabrine Wren will be at her side, of course, and thanks to Making Star Wars (via SFFGazette.com), we have new details on what to expect from both her and Ezra.
According to the site, Sabine will be wielding the lightsaber Ezra left with her at the end of Rebels. After previously being trained to wield the Darksaber by him and Kanan Jarrus, she's become accustomed to using a blade, despite not being a Jedi herself. It sounds like she primarily uses it as a melee weapon, something we're sure will lead to some exciting action scenes.

As for Ezra, after spending years without his lightsaber in a strange new land, it sounds like he's managed to master the Force in a very different way.
Apparently, the former Jedi Padawan has developed his own martial arts-based Force powers and, as the site explains, "This martial arts style coupled with his connection to animals makes him an interesting take on a Force user on screen as he uses his hands, feet, the Force and nature to beat up undead Stormtroopers."
Interestingly, it appears Ezra doesn't choose to take his lightsaber back from Sabine when they're reunited, instead choosing to fight with the new abilities he's mastered.
One final spoiler note from the site reveals, "We will have sequences where Baylon, Shin, have red sabers, Morgan Elsbeth and the witches standing off against Ahsoka with her two white lightsabers, Sabine with the green saber, and Ezra doing Force karate."
With a first look at Ahsoka expected to be released during Star Wars Celebration early next month, we cannot wait to see more of what this show has in store for us.
