Disney/Lucasfilm did a great job of keeping the major surprises of the first two seasons of The Mandalorian under wraps, and things have been even more secretive surrounding the production of season 3. While there has been the occasional rumor here and there (Wookiees were mentioned), all we really know for sure is that Pedro Pascal will return as Din Djarin.
EP/writer/director Dave Filoni wasn't about to spill any details when he appeared on Good Morning America, but did seemingly hint that we'll be seeing more Jedi action when we return to this corner of the galaxy far, far away.
"There's a lot of new adventures coming up. I have to be careful, I can't really say anything specific, but I think the Force will be strong with this, let's just say that."
More Force-sensitive characters and a deeper dive into Jedi mythology would make sense, since season 2 saw Grogu's abilities grow as well as the introduction of Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson). Oh, and Luke Skywalker just happened to drop by in the finale.
It was assumed that Djarin's journey would continue on without his little buddy for the time being, but could we cut between Mando's adventures and Grogu being trained by Luke? That's just one theory, and possibly a bit of a reach based off of Filoni's comments alone, but fans would be very disappointed if "Baby Yoda" wasn't involved in some capacity.
