Brendan Wayne, the grandson of the legendary John Wayne, serves as one of the stuntmen/body doubles for Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin in The Mandalorian, and he'll return to help continue bringing the bounty hunter to life in season three. That's expected to begin production later this year, and as you might expect, little to nothing has been revealed about the plot.
Din and Grogu are no longer together, of course, and it seems the latter's story has reached its conclusion after he was taken by Luke Skywalker to be trained as a Jedi (here's hoping he never falls victim to Ben Solo and his Knights of Ren, eh?). We're not sure where that leaves Din, but most fans would like to see Mando become the rightful ruler of Mandalore.
Talking to Star Wars Sessions, Wayne shared some insight into what fans can expect moving forward.
"I think we've introduced the world in which Mando exists now," he started. "Not that there aren't going to be new things, I'm sure...I think there will be a lot less introductions, and a lot more going back towards the first season of delving deeper into the character and things like that I think."
"Have I read one script? No," he admitted. "Have I heard some things? Sure. So I'm guessing. But I can tell you this. If anyone's going to be able to continue telling a story, it's Jon [Favreau]. And raising the stakes? It's Jon."
With The Book of Boba Fett set to serve as The Mandalorian "season 2.5" this December, that should help fill the void until Din's story continues now he's the rightful wielder of the Darksaber. We know Bo-Katan Kryze isn't happy about that, and, much to the delight of Moff Gideon, that probably means they're going to clash sooner rather than later!
