Another new promo poster for The Mandalorian has been released (via SFFGazette.com), this time showcasing the returning Greef Karga. Played by Carl Weathers, the character has become a firm fan-favourite since his introduction in the show's debut episode.
His interaction with "The Child" - which saw the then-mysterious creature use his Jedi powers to save Karga's life - reformed the antagonist, prompting him to abandon plans to betray Din Djarin. In the years since then, he's become a loyal ally to the bounty hunter, while also helping to bring Nevarro into a new, Empire-free era.
On this poster, we're reminded of Karga's fondness for Grogu as the two are finally reunited. Had things played out differently behind the scenes, the duo would have probably been joined by Cara Dune, but we all know what happened there (there's still no word on what's become of the character).
A few more posters found their way online yesterday, though those showcased some exciting, and unexpected, team-ups. None of them gives too much away, but it's fair to say this next batch of episodes can't get here soon enough.
The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars Galaxy continue in season 3. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the Galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.
The series stars Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito. The directors of the eight-episode season 3 include Rick Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey, and Bryce Dallas Howard.
Jon Favreau is the showrunner/head writer and serves as an executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck are co-executive producers.
