THE MANDALORIAN Star Pedro Pascal Teases More Big Surprises And Cameos For Fans In Season 3

The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal has teased next March's season 3, promising Star Wars fans they can look forward to more surprises on the same level as those big Luke Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano cameos.

Prior to The Mandalorian's premiere on Disney+, there was a lot of speculation online that the series might revolve around Boba Fett. It didn't take long for us to understand that Din Djarin had no ties to the iconic anti-hero, of course, though his fellow bounty hunter's return was teased later in that first season.

That was a huge shock, but as the series has progressed, Jon Favreau has continued upping the ante. Fett would eventually show up, while we've also had cameos from Luke Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano, moments that have emphasised how important this series is to the wider Star Wars Universe (there have even been hints about Supreme Leader Snoke's origin).

Talking at CCXP in Brazil this past weekend (via SFFGazette.com), The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal looked ahead to the continuing adventures of Din and Grogu in season 3 and teased even more massive surprises.

"I think some of the best things about Season 1 and Season 2 of The Mandalorian were the surprises," the actor said, referring specifically to Luke and Ahsoka. "There's so much that you're going to see." The actor would go on to hype up season 3 by saying, "There are more secrets to keep."

It's been a joy seeing The Mandalorian deliver those big moments, while characters being adapted for live-action from animation has also become something of a regular occurrence. At the same time, the show has made sure to prioritise its leads, hence why it stands alongside Andor as being among the best stories told by Lucasfilm in this Disney era of Star Wars.

2023 looks set to be another exciting year for Star Wars on the small screen as we're also getting Ahsoka and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, two more shows set in this post-Return of the Jedi era. We're hoping more details on those will be revealed in the coming months.

The Mandalorian returns to Disney+ on March 1, 2023.

Did you really call Boba Fett and Anti hero? I know he’s popular for some reason, but he was literally only a villain in the series up until maybe his show, and even then he was mostly just actual hero. Unless we’re talking about expanded universe stuff that isn’t in canon

One more season and then Mando dies, I guarantee it and that moment shall be forever memorable! Now a side note to the trolls and cult of Marvel on here. Take a chill pill, go outside and touch grass. Sit on a park bench and look how people can coexist. If you disagree with something, don't start a war. Or block me like the rest lol. Be better

I don't know how they can possibly top Ahsoka and Luke showing up in season 2. I mean, surely Luke appearing was the Holy Grail, right?

I know they don't necessarily need to top that. But if they somehow fit a Thrawn appearance in there I would be pretty excited.

@CorndogBurglar - have Luke Leia and Han all show up. Make a fun joke about Leia being pregnant and how Luke better not trying and kill the kid in its sleep for no reason. Everyone cheers, forgets who the show was suppose to be about again.

@Twenty23Three - IMO Luke in S2 was perfectly measured. It was epic, foreshadowed so ot wasn't cheap, and should be a nice closure for Grogu's arc, at least for a while.

Well, then they unmade it in BBF.

Crap.

@Fogs - Luke and the end of S2 was fun. There was a couple nitpicky things I didn’t like about it, like why is he still kicking about in his old x wing? And I’d rather they’d never shown his face because they clearly didn’t have the technology ready yet. Otherwise it was good to see Luke in his prime.
I’d say like it or not get ready to see a lot more of Luke as well as other from the originals. They where getting it down in Boba Fett and now the have it good to go we’ll be seeing young Luke, Han and Leia all the time

@Twenty23Three - It was great to lose the bad taste after VIII and IX. Prime Luke was great. Will ever re-watch his scene again.

@Twenty23Three - think Ben is already being born around when The Mandalorian takes place.

Would be cool to see young Ben and Chewie show up though.

@sKeemAn - think they'll keep the first three for the Ahsoka show, but Hondo showing up is something I can see happen (but is it a big cameo though?)

@bkmeijer1 - For live action I would consider it a big cameo. But i would also want Hondo to be a reoccurring character.

I think Hondo is as big a cameo as Cad Bane.

You know what, just do the crazy think and have Luke meet up with force ghost Anakin.

A show about a Mandalorian is probably not the place to do it, but I don't see where else we might get that interaction.

Force ghost Obi-Wan could show up though, given his history with Mandalore.
