THE MANDALORIAN Stills Include A Closer Look At Boba Fett's Armor, Din Djarin Unmasked, And More

Lucasfilm has released ten new stills from last Friday's episode of The Mandalorian, "The Believer," and as well as highlighting Boba Fett's overhauled armour, we see Din Djarin's face, and much more...

The Mandalorian has been firing on all cylinders during season two, and the Disney+ series is now firmly embedded in the wider Star Wars Universe. With Boba Fett - who has cleaned up his Mandalorian armour - at Din Djarin's side, the show is telling his story now too, and that's very exciting.

Of course, Friday's episode also managed to redeem Bill Burr's Mayfeld, while season one antagonist Fennec Shand is also taking centre stage during the show's second season.

The world of The Mandalorian is rapidly expanding, and Lucasfilm has now released a new gallery of stills from "The Believer." As well as highlighting the characters mentioned above, we also get to see Din without his Mandalorian helmet on. Willing to go to extreme lengths to retrieve Grogu, speculation is running rampant online about what this means for his creed.

Can he truly continue to serve the "way" after removing his helmet and letting another living being see his face? If not, then that's a pretty clever way to give star Pedro Pascal more screentime. It's believed the Wonder Woman 1984 star was present on set far more often during season two.

Check out these new stills from the episode below:

Being perfectly honest, I actually like the look of his dirty armour better. I didn't realise he cleaned it initially and I was like "what does his armour look cheaper this episode". I just think the dirty armour is more iconic at this point and they should go back to it. Just a personal preference

@Nightwing1015 - Very much agree. The clean armor looks too cosplay-ish to me.

Good episode but I wasn't a fan how way more willing to take his helmet off he was in this one. I'm guessing it will be an upcoming plot point now that the Empire has a scan of his face, but it still felt a little too out of character for a guy who nearly died refusing to show his face in season 1.

Not a huge Fett knowledge source, but this is the first that I really noticed the little white logo on the chest plate of his armor. It immediately makes me think of the fact that his father seeded the clones. Most interestingly, it's been there since the original movies.

My son and I love everything about this show. This is the direction Star Wars stories should go in now to survive outside the Skywalker storyline. Great job to the writers, directors, producers, and all that creates this show over the course of a year.

Does anyone have a canon explanation of that white logo?

@plasticman - Canon and Boba Fett are words that just don't go together much nowadays! There really isn't much canon with him right now beyond we know his dad is Jango who is now confirmed as being a foundling. I'm not sure if it was addressed in previous materials. I don't recall it being in the comics.

I can't wait to see if a Jedi appears and if one does, who it will be in the finale. If Luke appears, I may lose my shit.

I really hope they don't leave this season ending on a major cliffhanger (I have a bad feeling they will). One year between seasons is just too long for a cliffhanger ending.

This show is the first time I've ever given a shit about Boba Fett and I haven't even seen it yet.

Glad I watched it this morning. I guess there is only a 3 day moratorium on spoilers in the headline.

Anyway, was I the only one that thought that a moustache was a weird choice for an unmasked Mando? Really, why? I would think full overgrown beard or clean shaven. I fell that a moustache is usually a personal statement about who you are and if no one is supposed to see it, then what's the point?

Anyone else think that Grogu's DNA and Palpatine DNA made Snoke while trying to clone the Emperor?

I really like the new truck driver troopers. Those and the shore troopers might be the most ''real'' looking troopers so far in that their armor didn't look like plastic.

As for Boba's new look (which I'm liking a lot) very much fits with Favreau and Filoni's playbox idea they approached the show with. It's repainting your old action figures and playing out new stories with them. And that's exactly what they're doing here.
