Thanks to Disney+, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to expand significantly, with a number of TV shows in the works that will inform what's happening in the movies. The Star Wars Universe is also getting bigger courtesy of the streaming service, with The Mandalorian a huge hit for Disney and several other shows set in the Galaxy Far, Far Away on the horizon.

The question is, could those small screen stories start linking up with what we see in the movies?

"The line is blurring now," The Mandalorian executive producer Jon Favreau acknowledged. "Things that you would have only seen in the movie theater, you’re seeing on streaming, and I think it could go the other way as well." As for whether that could lead to Din Djarin starring in a movie, Favreau said that he's in "no rush," but "we’re definitely open to it, and excited to see where the story leads us and have that flexibility - because there’s no rulebook now."

As for star Pedro Pascal, he's definitely on board with making a movie spinning out of The Mandalorian.

"I think that the work is so beautiful that I would love for that to be held by a big screen experience," he said. "But it seems to work so well that also I’m not sure it’s something that I would want corrupted by any kind of change, you know? I mean, I certainly know that the challenge can be met. It’s not like these people don’t have the experience. If anybody can do it, they can!"

We don't know what sort of endgame Disney and Lucasfilm have for The Mandalorian, and whether it's a story that will ultimately play out over several years or has a finite number of chapters remains to be seen.

Would you like to see Din Djarin on the big screen?

The Mandalorian for now works great on the small screen. Rather see movie characters jump to the small screen than the other way around, since movies still feel like events whereas tv shows feels like something ''extra'' in a shared movie/tv universe
