As I reported a couple days ago, Angry Birds and Star Wars announced that they would make an Angry Birds game using Star Wars character. The iconic birds in the Angry Birds series is recast as Star Wars characters. The Red Bird will be Luke Skywalker, the Yellow Bird as Han Solo and the Big Brother Bird as Chewbacca. Angry Birds: Star Wars shows all the birds as Star Wars characters as well as news on the game. Also a trailer for the game has been released. Take a look.
In a press release, the game will "combine all the fun of the classic Angry Birds and Angry Birds Space with the characters, stories and settings of the epic space fantasy, Star Wars", and it looks like it will feature locations from the Star Wars universe from Tatooine to inside the Death Star.
Also there's a vast amount of merchandise in the works: Halloween costumes, the Jenga set, action figures and plushes.
In other news for Star Wars fans, still no news on if Battlefield 3 will ever see the light of day.
