"You either lose your mind, or die. No in-between."

Netflix (via SFFGazette) has released a new trailer for the upcoming Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime, and it certainly looks... interesting!

If you've played the Cyberpunk 2077 video game, you'll probably have a pretty good idea of what to expect, but based on this NSFW teaser, this show is going to take the sex, violence, and general carnage to whole new levels!

The series is not expected to feature V or any of the game's other principal characters, instead focusing on a pair of Edgerunners (cybernetically enhanced hackers) named David and Lucy. The trailer doesn't really reveal much about the plot, but the brief synopsis tells us: In a dystopia riddled with corruption and cybernetic implants, a talented but reckless street kid strives to become an edgerunner: a mercenary outlaw.

Check out the sneak peek below along with some new key art, and let us know what you think in the usual spot.

CD Projekt's Rafał Jaki (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cyberpunk 2077) serves as showrunner and executive producer for the series, while producers include Satoru Homma, Bartosz Sztybor, and Saya Elder. Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill alum Hiroyuki Imaishi are directing, and they're joined by creative director Hiromi Wakabayashi, who also worked on Kill la Kill. Legendary Silent Hill series composer Akira Yamaoka created the score.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will be available to stream from September 13.

Definitely looks insane. I never messed with the game though. The glitch controversy and disappointing reviews turned me off.

@VictorAlonzo - Console versions were messed up at launch and gave the game the bad reputation.
PC Version was playable-with some bugs of course- right out of the gate. I enjoyed it and am waiting for CDPR to bring on expansions.

@mdwilliamson24 - glad to hear that. It's clearly something they invested heavily into. It looks like a world ripe for many tales.
