How I would like the Arkham franchise to pan out

Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and now Arkham Origins, this is what I want to happen in the future of this loved franchise.

The year is 2008, this is the year we hear a new Batman game is coming, and that game would then go on to become the beloved Batman: Arkham Asylum. Fans wanted more, and the studio delivered with 2011's Batman: Arkham City, a game that no other could hold up to. Now this year we will e getting the prequel Batman: Arkham Origins, now this is the one everyone is iffy about, I for one am head over heels excited for it, and I will be using this article to show what I want from this game, and future installments to the franchise.

Batman: Arkham Origins

Now this one I won't talk long on, because it's already made, and I just going to wait to see what they do, so I won't speculate to much, but what I want is this. I want the game to either end with/or have a side mission during the game where you have to chase down a petty crook calling himself the redhood, and have it end with you fighting him in the ace chemical plant, and redhood falling into the vat of chemicals, then batman thinking him dead leaves, then in or after the credits show a shadowy figure arise from the chemicals, and have lightning flash showing a menacing shadow on the wall laughing the usual joker laugh, which can be obtained threw archived auto clips of Hamill's joker. Secondly, I hope we get to see scenes in this game of events that the other games have referenced IE. Black mask's mask getting melted to his skin, and the penguins incident that led to him needing a monocle, and the police coming to be allies to batman, as opposed to trying to take him down as if he is a criminal. Also I'm not sure how this got skipped over, but here are full body art pieces of the three known characters from Arkham Origins.

Future/potential installments

First off, I would like there to be two more prequels after Arkham Origins, not to say I want them before a proper sequel to Arkham City mind you, but I would rather enjoy having a prequel trilogy to the original trilogy,(starwars set up not intentional) and this is what I would like to see happen in said games.

Batman: Arkham legends Part 1/ Arkham: Legends of the dark knight part 1

I would have this game be set a while after Arkham Origins, and tell the story of batman and robins last adventure ending robin (Dick Grayson) leaving to become nightwing, this would be a great way to give back story to nightwing, so that once he is used in a potential sequel to Arkham City after being set up in Arkham City we will, or specifically general audience will have knowledge of him, and who he is, and/or was. Now, and don't kill me, but I think it best the story be changed to give this game the chance to highlight two villians who are in the Arkham games, but in my opinion haven't shined yet, Those being The riddler, and two-face. Here are plot points of how I would have it.
>Start the game in flash back to showcase the graysons death, and why batman chose to take Dick in to begin with.

>Flash forward to the games present day, and have the first mission be you, and robin stopping a bank robbery, which starts good, but as you go you can see obvious hostility growing between batman, and robin, have them stop the crime, but just barely due to them butting heads.

>Back at the batcave, robin confronts batman, and tells him him he quites, they start barking back, and forth when suddenly, the bat computer alarms, batman turns it on to see the news reporting the riddler has escaped Arkham with the assistance of two-face, to which batman remarks, you can quite on your own time, right now there's work to be done.

>upon arriving to arkham batman talks to Gordan, to get caught up on the case, then we get to the fun part, and new feature in the game, sorta, like L.A. Noire, we will have batman interrogate people that could have known about the escape, or the two villains plan, like old henchmen and such, now here is how it differs though, you will have free range over the infiltrated prison block, and as you walk threw if you see someone that looks suspicious like acting jumpy as you go by, or looking to try not to be seen by you, or is shown to be nervous in detective mode, then you can request to have him moved to an interrogation room, here is the catch if you over look one, then you lose some info, and it will completely change the game, making it take longer to piece together the plan, and in the same vein when interrogating you decide what to ask, and depending on what you ask depends on how much info you get, and if you screw up then the game will can, and the info will take longer to find.

>To cut this short (and since I don't have a thought up plan for why Riddler, and two-face have teamed up...thoughts in the comments?) I will jump to the end, after batman, and robin have overcome themselves to defeat the riddler, and two-face, have the two go back to the batcave batman is confining in robin when robin hands him the uniform, and informs batman he is still leaving, because he has just outgrown the mantle of robin, and is ready be his own hero, and will e moving his operations to the city of Bludhaven.

This would be a nice way to set up nightwings character for a future arkham game, and flesh out the dark knights tale, as well as maybe set up for a nightwing/or robins games. Expantion in this game would come as you would have old and new Gotham as well as Arkham Asylum, all in one game.

Batman: Arkham legends Part 2/ Arkham: Legends of the dark knight part 2

This game would set up Jason todd for potential Arkham sequels. I would have it set in the present, after the events of Arkam City, and on the anniversary of Jason's death, I would have it open with bruce at jason's grave, and then pan across the Gotham skyline ending at wayne manor,we pan in to Tim, coming down the stairs to the batcave, and looking at Alfred as he dusts off the case that holds jason's robin suit. Tim then askes, so what happened the that robin to get Bruce so worked up? Alfred says to wait, and ask master Bruce, but after Tim is avid about it Alfred breaks, then we go into flashback and Alfreds voice fades, as we go into the first mission of the game, then from that point it turns into a straight adaption of the book.

>Alfred gets to the point of joker beating Jason, and stops, Tim asks him to go on, but Alfred says it's best not told, at this point Bruce walks in, and says,no if it's going to be told, I may as well do it, then Bruce proceeds with the story from their.

>The game ends back in the present, and Bruce asking Tim if he's satisfied, Tim disheartened, says it had no Idea, and goes on to explain himself, but Bruce stops him saying he understands his reasoning, and then sits down facing await from the two looking at the bat computer, at an article about the death of robin, Alfred tells Tim to come up, and leave Bruce, they do, and it turns to show Bruce from behind, and fades to credits.

Now I know that Joker would be a big part of this story, but I know as least two things they can do achieved auto, or get the Joker from Under the red hood, which sounds a lot like the Joker, and can be easily explained why it sounds a little different, simply due to him being younger. New areas would be The wayne manor, and the batcave, and I would introduce a controllable batcycle to the game.

Batman:Arkham Knightmare/Batman:Arkham Uprising?/Batman:Arkham 3

Now then, this would be next game in the current time period, set after the events of Arkham City, and I will be using the unoriginal fan hope for the next game by making the villains Scarecrow, and Hush. I have come up with two possible game plots though.

>In the wake of Jokers death, batman is in a very dark place, and just the slightest thing could set him off, Scarecrow, and hush want to take advantage of this, by breaking the bat, but in the mental sense. Scarecrow has poisoned the entire city so they don't notice that "Bruce" (hush in disguise) has scars from the operations it took to look like Bruce, and in return hush has promised scarecrow a world of riches, compliments of Bruce wayne.

>Now of course Batman will be after them, so scarecrow has come up with his own plan to slow down batman, he has made the toxin specific for batman so that scarecrow looks like the joker to batman, and having just burned jokers body, this sends batman down an emotional, and psychotic journey to overcome this allusion of joker.

or

>second plot is the same as the first except batman has giving himself and robin a toxin to counter the gas, and they have to convince Gotham that this is all fake, and take down Hush, and scarecrow.

Now being focused in new Gotham, this game will not feature Old Gotham turned Arkham City.

Batman: Arkham 4/ Batman: Arkham Revenge

This is were I would in the franchise personally, this would be the end, and it would go out with a bang, of course this story would have to be changed, and I am referring to the finish of the redhood story.

>starts with batman staking out watching as a new mob leader (or so he thinks) that has been making a name of himself, is selling drugs to sthe black masks drug cartel, then to batman's surprise, he kills all of them, takes the drugs, and leaves, batman follows, we start the first mission here, we must follow suit on redhood, he turns a corner, and batman (on the roof above him watches) redhood turns a corner, and batman follow along the ledge, but to his amazement he was gone, batman stands, and starts looking down the street, he turns to contact Alfred to check all cameras in the area, but about that time he is hit in the back of the head with a pipe, we then pan up to see redhood standing there, as batman passes out he hears redhood say nighty night br...he passes out.

>he wakens hours later, and tell Alfred what has happened. Back at the batcave batman pulls the auto recorder he keeps in his belt, and starts analyzing it on the bat computer we must do it, in a similar way the descrambler works. He learns he said Bruce, and is shocked, leading him to do a voice match, which then leads to Jason Todd, he is in disbelief, but he then goes back out to find redhood, black mask has found out he has been double crossed, and sends his assassins after redhood as well. They find him first, and redhood decides to cause a commotion, he causes one of the assassins to blow gas truck, of course batman sees this, and goes after. He arrives, and finds redhood in the middle of battle, needing him alive he jumps in the middle of it, redhood shouts, well took you long enough, what is it, getting slow in your old age? batman shrugs this off, and helps, this ends with batman, and redhood the only ones standing, batman turns and askes, is it you? To which redhood responds, why spoil the fun!!, he then throws a smoke bomb, and disappears, now we scan the scene, and find that the sword of one of the assassins has blood on it, back at the cave we now analyze the blood, and boom it is redhoods. Now batman has decided he must confront the one man that deals in resurrection Ras al Ghul. We now follow the story up until we get to where redhood should take the joker, instead we get redhood go after black msk for putting a head on him. Batman finds out what Jason is up to, and goes to Black mask's HQ. He fights his way to the top, and finds redhood with a gun to black mask, and black mask with a gun right back. Redhood looks and says, so old man, nice weather tonight, am I right. Batman remarks, for them to lower the weapons, of course they don't then you get to take down black mask, but while you to fight Redhood slips out, you notice him, as you knock black mask out, and pursue, we get to chase him down, and once caught we fight, this fight goes through half the city, and ends in an abandoned apartment building. Batman questions redhood's actions, pleading with him, telling him he had no idea he was alive, and the vengeance isn't needed to which Jason reply's, oh, but it is, you see, I came here specifically, because I wanted to finish business with you. You see, I was brought back by Ras, and, I was broken, but I would have came back except, I learned that even though I died, you sent that monster back to jail. Batman interrupts, saying that was the right thing to do, Jason then angerly said, no, he belonged died, he killed me, you should have killed him, it's not right, and to make it worse, you would never kill him, even now with him dead it was just due to an accident, you would have saved him again, wouldn't you, batman remarks, just saying Jason, killing is never the answer.Jason then tired of his petty answers goes at batman, screaming you should have killed him, you should have killed him, batman moves, and Jason breaks throw the fragile wall behind him, falling 10 stories, batman looks out screaming Jason, then he hits the ground, batman in sarrow heads down for the body, when he gets their all that is their is You should have killed him written in blood, he then calls Alfred, and updates him, we then transition to the batcave, and it fades after we see a flashback that mirrors the ending of Under the red hood.

This will have all the pre-established areas, and also Ra's palace.

Potential spin-offs
>Nightwing
>robins
>Redhood and the outlaws

Cool ideas. I would love to see a Superman game made with the quality of the Arkham stuff. Once the whole Silver Age JL game happens, this could become the DC video game universe.

I would love a prequel trilogy, but this makes NO SENSE! I was too excited for a sequel to Arkham City that. I'm OK with this game and I'm going to buy it day one and most likely do a 100% completion, but Origins could have waited a bit more. At least the sequel to AC will be next-gen. Too bad we have to get the 3DS version of Origins Blackgate on the Vita, I was really hoping for a console-like experience on the go

It will more then likely be great, but this is just a filler game to hold us over for the sequel to Arkham City, which is more then likely the secret project rocksteady is hard at work on
