Michael Fassbender Scans The Horizon In A New Still From ASSASSIN'S CREED
With the summer movie season now over, we can start looking ahead to an amazing fall & winter line-up, which includes Fox's upcoming film adaptation of the popular video game series Assassin's Creed.
Even though some recent releases have been able to perform relatively well at the box office, video game movies, for the most part, tend to be very hit-or-miss with very few ever generating any sort of critical acclaim. But this winter, 20th Century Fox's Assassin's Creed is certainly hoping to buck the trend.
The Justin Kurzel-directed picture boasts a very impressive cast led by 2x Academy Award-nominee Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Apocalypse), who's joined by Academy Award-winner Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises), Academy Award-winner Jeremy Irons (Justice League), 3x Golden Globe-nominee Brendan Gleeson (Edge Of Tomorrow), and Primetime Emmy-nominee Michael K. Williams (The Night Of).
Thanks to Yahoo! Movies' fall movie preview, which gave us a mystical new still from Marvel's Doctor Strange earlier this morning, we have a brand new photo of Fassbender suited up as Aguilar scanning the horizon for trouble. Check it out below:
Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.
