Toys R Us has put the PS4 up for preorder with a release date December 13th, but we haven't heard from Sony regarding when its next game console will arrive on store shelves. The next gen of video game consoles is coming, and the wait is almost over until we get the Successor to the PS3.
A Sony spokesperson said on the Sony Gamescom webpage,
For one week in August 2013, the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany becomes the centre of the gaming universe as the world's biggest publishers and developers invite you to check out the games that will light up the rest of the year and beyond. We'll kick off the show at 18:00 BST on 20 August 2013 with a briefing to media on our release plans for Playstation 4, as well as updates on Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita. If speculation is to be believed, Sony will announce that its PS4 will start shipping in October, a month ahead of Microsoft's Xbox One and two months sooner than Toys R Us is promising.
