In Star Trek Online, the Star Trek universe will appear for the first time on a truly massive scale. In this massively multiplayer online game from Cryptic Studios, players can pioneer their own destiny as Captain of a Federation starship. Or, they can become a Klingon Warlord and expand the Empire to the far reaches of the galaxy. Players will have the opportunity to visit iconic locations from the popular Star Trek fiction, reach out to unexplored star systems, and make contact with new alien species. With Episode Missions, every moment spent playing Star Trek Online will feel like a new Star Trek episode in which you are the star. Hey STAR TREK had a lot of comic book series, but i do know what you mean lol.

Though i'm not a trekkie, damn this looks really good!!

@BmanHall - I'm the same way... I LOVER Star Wars... Star Trek has always taken a back seat, BUT the ability to have ship battles in STO *could* be awesome!

With how badly Cryptic bumbled Champions Online, I will not be purchasing this no matter how good the trailer makes it look.

@ Nathan u beat me to it, I was going to post this, but like a lot of other things, haven't made time. But this is going to look so sweet on my new pc I'm building when those new Hydra Motherboards come out. Can't wait, but dam Windows 7 is a beast 16 GB.

This looks cool. Does anyone know what races you can be other than Human or Klingon(wow that didn't register as a typo)? What about Vulcans? I wonder how customizable the ships are, like as you level up you can you gain the ability add things to your star ship?
It definitely warrants a closer look.

Yes you can be vulcan, but you will be a member of starfleet. And as you level you can add stuff to your ships.

Is this for PC, PS3, X-Box 360 or all of them? I dont play PC games and Im not a fan of the 360, so Im screwed if this isnt on PS3, lol!

@thewhtGuardian: From what i've heard you can be almost any race you've seen in the Star Trek universe. You can even create and name your own race. I call dibs on Furyan.

Sweet, I can't wait to see what the user created starships will look like. Personally I think I'd want to be Vulcan, or Romulan.

@BmanHall - A first-person/pilot view would rock, but I'm guessing it's more of a 3rd person/tactical view (based on what I've seen), but you never know...

It's crazy that the game's due out in a few months, but there's hardly any info out there for it :o(

this could be really cool! i'm not a huge star trek fan, i'll watch it, but i'm not into it as much as star wars. but this game could be very cool!

I'm in the beta. I am not in the game yet, as many are having issues, but all those that are say "It is even more fun than it looks. *Evil grin lit green from below*"
