Following the recent second trailer, we have a new social media teaser for the upcoming Street Fighter reboot, and it features quite a bit of new footage.

The new movie will follow Chun-Li as she brings old friends Ryu and Ken Masters back together in the hopes that they will put their grudges aside and team up to defeat the Shadaloo criminal organisation led by M. Bison.

In addition to spotlighting more of Ryu's battle with Blanka from the first clip, this spot showcases most of the other main characters and their various fighting styles and special moves, including Guile's Flash-Kick, Chun-Li's Spinning Bird Kick, and Ryu unleashing his signature "Hadouken" fireball.

During a recent interview with Empire, Chun-Li actress Callina Liang revealed the intense workout routine she followed to bring the popular fighter to life - and add a few inches to her thighs to more closely resemble her video game counterpart.

"Chun-Li is all kicks. So we did a bunch of Taekwondo training, Muay Thai, and Wushu (Kung Fu). I did two hours of that a day and strengthened my legs a lot and changed my diet drastically. When I was bulking, I ate 12 eggs a day. Every two hours I had to have a meal, and I was on the verge of throwing up. But it worked. By the end of the shoot, my thighs had grown six-and-a-half centimeters each.”

"I downloaded every single version of Street Fighter onto a PS5 and I recorded all of Chun-Li's moves during fights on my phone in slow-mo, so I could play them back and study them," she added.

Check out the new teaser below, along with the first wave of tie-in Funko POPs.

Kitao Sakura (The Eric Andre Show, Twisted Metal) signed on to direct Street Fighter after Talk to Me filmmakers Danny and Michael Philippou parted ways with the project.

“Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!”

The movie stars Noah Centineo as Ken Masters, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Orville Peck as Vega, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Olivier Richters as Zangief, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i as Akuma, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Eric André as Don Sauvage, Mel Jarnson as Cammy, Rayna Vallandingham as Juli, and Alexander Volkanovski as Joe.

I’ve been around long enough to have been there for the ‘94 Van Damme movie, and walking out of the theater even as a kid then I knew that movie blew chunks. This looks like a direct sequel to that travesty, but with updated graphics. I’ll always have Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, been running with it for over 30years and it’s never let me down once.

@ThouBear8 - same

I thought MK 2 was enjoyable and an improvement over the first film so if this is decent atleast then that would be a good year for fighting game adaptations.
