Ahead of last evening's The Game Awards event last night that debuted a new trailer for Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League, as closed alpha test on the game occurred during the days of November 30th to December 4th, 2023. An insider by the name of Miller Ross (@mmmmmmmmiller on Twitter) confirmed the actor who will be voicing Brainiac in Rocksteady's next installment of the Batman Arkham series.
Best known for portraying Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter series and Gabriel Luca in Star Trek Discovery on Paramount+, Jason Isaacs has been revealed to be the voice actor for Brainiac. His voice was briefly heard in the recent trailer that debuted at the awards ceremony last night.
Isaacs of course, is no stranger to voice acting in DC related properties in the past. He had previously voiced Ra's al Ghul in 2010's direct-to-video fan favorite animated movie, Batman: Under the Red Hood, Sinestro in the 2011 anthology, Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, Lex Luthor in Bruce Timm's 2015 elseworld story; Justice League Gods and Monsters, and the titular Russian Superman in Superman: Red Son in 2020. Non-animation wise, Isaacs was fortunate to voice Alfred Pennyworth in the spotify audio drama, Batman Unburied in 2022.
Animation fans would even remember Isaacs for voicing Zaho in Avatar The Last Airbender, the Inqusitor in Star Wars Rebels, Dick Dastardly in the feature animated film, Scoob!, and Billy Butcher in The Boys Presents: Diabolical miniseries.
In addition to Brainiac's voice actor, same insider has even revealed Nolan North would reprise his role as Superman from previous DC properties.
It was also been revealed that the game will be getting an offline mode after it's launch. Though internet connection will still be required to play during this period before offline mode is a go for the Suicide Squad completing their mission. Hats off to Rocksteady then for taking their time.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be released on February 2, 2024, for the PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. It will feature the final voice performance of Kevin Conroy as Batman.
