Are we finally going to get an official announcement concerning a Rocksteady Superman game? Well, for now it's just another rumor, but this time there is some solid evidence to support it.

A listing over at Game System Requirements - a site that broke details of Devil May Cry V prior to its big reveal - teases a new action adventure title called Superman: World's Finest. In addition, Rocksteady's official website has a number of job listings relating to a new "AAA title on the next generation platforms."

Obviously this is far from irrefutable proof that the game is in the works so it's best not to get too excited... yet!

The Game Awards kick-off next month on December 6, and we know that 10 new titles will be announced. Will Superman: World's Finest be one of them? We'll just have to wait and see, but there is quite a bit of buzz around this rumor so it's definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Honestly. what’s WB Montreal been doing? It’s been five years since their game and over three years since their AK DLC

The rumor of a Rocksteady Superman game comes up every few months, so there must be some truth to it, but the rumors always come before there's a big Gaming event, so who knows, hopefully it's true.

Yes please. Also are they ever going to address that cliffhanger at the end of Arkham Knight or what?

@Ha1frican - Nope. Arkham Knight was the end of the series.

And I wouldn't really call it a cliffhanger.

Batman is alive, but kind of infused with Scarecrow's fear gas. So he can basically bring fear to criminals in a different way now.

@CorndogBurglar - I don’t think that’s what the ending means. I think he’s just alive . But has gone back to being this almost mythological/demonic figure since everyone thinks Bruce Wayne is dead. No fear gas powers

@ShimmyShimmyYA - I don't know man. They definitely made him look more demonic and criminals were terrified of him. Like way more than they ever would have been if he was just Batman.

@CorndogBurglar - true but i think it was a style choice to emphasize the point of Batman embodying fear

Hopefully they take their time because Arkham Knight's story was trash to the point where I feel this universe needs a little bit of a breather before I return to it.

@ScarletWarlock - that was 3 years ago this game probably wouldn't come out for another 2 at the least how much of a breather would you need? Lol

@ScarletWarlock - Who's to say a Superman game would take place in the Arkham Universe?

@ScarletWarlock - Arkham Knight had a great story. I get people didn’t care for the tank missions and everyone called Jason Todd immediately, but thematically and how Batman changed as a character over the course of the game was great. That “I am the night” sequence had incredible impact. Ivy, Catwoman and Scarecrow were all characterized so well, and how Joker was handled was brilliant.

Sure this is my opinion on it, and City has the best overall story, but it really baffles me when people say the story in Arkham Knight was terrible. Some pitfalls sure, but as a whole, solid and still a better story than most games out even today.

@DTor91 - I agree. I felt the batmobile was slightly over utilized, but only slightly. We had been waiting forever to drive that bad boy, & they made it worth the wait. The only segment where I was like "what the [frick]" was the deathstroke tank battle, cus he wouldn't EVER engage in that way.

Other than that, my only issue with the game was that they randomly made Tim Drake have a thing with Barbara Gordon. It's like they got confused & forgot that he's not the Robin who has dated her on multiple occasions. That really made me scratch my head.

Besides those 2 things, I felt the story was pretty strong, if not quite as strong as Arkham City. The bar is so insanely high for these games, that people consider Knight a failure, which to me, is ridiculous.

That's what I like to hear. Fingers crossed this is true.

I mean even if this is true. It's something to start getting excited for in a couple of years. Which is crazy because Arkham Knight was years ago, I figured they would have started their next project much sooner than just now or the near future. What have they been doing??

Sidenote: Spider-Man PS4 Hammerhead DLC was great fun. Story was nice and all, but the gameplay was amazing. The final boss fight was incredibly difficult on Ultimate mode, and Hammerhead gave me some flashbacks to Spiderman 2: Enter Electro or even the first PS1 game where I was genuinely terrified of the villain I was fighting. I was on the edge of my seat, heart pounding, trying to evade Hammerhead and beat the level. I hadn't had an experience like that in a long time, especially for a superhero game. Amazing DLC. I had read some lukewarm reviews about it lately as well as some geuine souring on the game by some people, but screw that, this game keeps on delivering, and I really never invest in DLC.
