The first trailer for Assassin's Creed debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night and actually looked pretty impressive. However, the music selection immediately takes you out of the film. One AC fan has taken it upon himself to recut the trailer with more fitting music. It just goes to illustrate that in the same way a score is important for a feature film, music choice greatly impacts how fans receive a trailer.
Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.
Directed by Justin Kurzel, the film stars Fassbender, Marion Cotillard, Michael K. Williams and Jeremy Irons, the films is set to be released on December 21. Assassin's Creed will battle Rouge One: A Star Wars Story (Dec. 16) and the Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt led sci-fi film, Passengers at the Holiday box office. (Dec. 21).
