Even though
The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part hasn't been living up to its predecessor in terms of box office sucess, if there is one thing LEGO fans love, it's their video games.
LEGO has launched many popular games in the past, featuring characters such as Harry Potter, Batman, The Avengers, and many more. This game will be inspired by the movie, which is set in the desolate wasteland of Apocalypseburg. It seems alien invaders have left Bricksburg in ruins, leaving it up to Emmet, Lucy and the gang to save their friends.
Arthur Parsos, the head of design for TT Games Studios, had the following to say in the press release.
The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame brings the amazing locations and action from both the sequel and the original 2014 blockbuster The LEGO Movie, where kids can play as Emmet, Lucy and other loveable characters. Families and friends can journey together to complete quests and amass hidden relics to complete their collections in fantastical LEGO worlds environments/locations that come to life with a dizzying array of vehicles and creatures.
Sean William McEvoy, VP of Digital Games & Apps for The LEGO Group, added.
Imagination and creation are the hallmarks of LEGO play and The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame delivers on this promise. Mission based building will empower players and put their creativity into action with the ability to build items anywhere to solve puzzles.
The game is currently available on all systems but the physical copies for Nintendo Switch will not be available until March 4th. Do you think it's worth a play, or should they have stopped when everything was awesome?
It's finally here! You can now play as your favorite characters in The Lego Movie 2 Videogame to discover new worlds, build anywhere, and even rescue Batman!
The Lego Movie 2 Videogame is now available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, XBOX ONE, and PC for $39.99.
