UPDATE: As stated in the article, the bundle will include a 500GB console, but after looking on the European Official Playstation Blog, I can now confirm that the European versions of the bundles will come packaged with a 1TB system, as opposed to the 500GB.

A lot of exciting news came out of this year's D23 Expo in Anaheim, ranging from movies (a reportedly awesome Captain America: Civil War trailer, lots of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens/ Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One news etc) to video games at the Disney Interactive Panel. A lot of the focus in that particular panel was some awesome new footage of the highly-anticipated upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront game in development by DICE Studios, and Disney Infinity 3.0 news. But thats not all that came out of the Disney Interactive Panel - Sony unveiled a brand new, special edition Star Wars Themed Playstation 4 system. And it has Darth Vader on it!

The fully customised system is a 500GB Playstation 4 with an image of Darth Vader in front of a repeating series of Star Wars logos on the top side of the console. The custom Dualshock 4 controller is inspired by Darth Vader's chest panel, and will also feature the recurring Star Wars logo on the touchpad.

The special edition console (pictured above) will be available in two bundles - the Star Wars: Battlefront bundle, and the Disney Infinity 3.0 bundle. Here is what they will include:
  • Star Wars: Battlefront bundle:
    • Star Wars themed 500GB Playstation 4 system
    • Custom Dualshock 4 controller
    • Digital download of Star Wars: Battlefront deluxe edition
    • Download Code for four classic Star Wars video games - Super Star WarsStar Wars: Racer RevengeStar Wars: Jedi Starfighter, and Star Wars: Bounty Hunter

  • Disney Infinity 3.0 bundle:
    • Star Wars themed 500GB Playstation 4 system
    • Custom Dualshock 4 controller
    • Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars Playstation Exclusive Hardware Kit, including:
      • Physical copy of Disney Infinity 3.0
      • Disney Infinity Base
      • The Rise Against The Empire play set, featuring:
        • Luke Skywalker figure
        • Leia Organa figure
        • Rise Against The Empire playset piece
      • Boba Fett figure (exclusive to Playstation throughout the holidays)
    • Download Code for four classic Star Wars video games - Super Star WarsStar Wars: Racer RevengeStar Wars: Jedi Starfighter, and Star Wars: Bounty Hunter

These bundles mark the first time the four classic Star Wars titles will be playable on the Playstation 4 system, and will come with updated graphics and full trophy support.

In addition to these two incredible bundles, Sony will be offering a Star Wars: Battlefront bundle, that will consist of the original Jet Black Playstation 4 system, a Jet Black Dualshock 4 controller, a download code for Star Wars: Battlefront and the download code for the four classic Star Wars titles.

These bundles will land November 17th, and will soon be available for pre-order. The Disney Infinity 3.0 bundle will be exlusively available through Walmart.

What do you guys think? Will you be picking up this new Playstation 4 system, or will you give it a miss? Are you excited for Star Wars: Battlefront and/or Disney Infinity 3.0, or have they failed to arouse your interest? Let me know in the comments below, and don't forget to share and hit that thumbs up!
