With CW's Arrow only a day away from its premiere, it should come as no surprise that Green Arrow was just announced to join DC's stable of playable characters in Injustice: Gods Among Us.

News has been pretty slow on the Injustice: Gods Among Us front. Recently it was announced that there will be a collectors edition for the game, but other than that relatively quiet. Now, thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have confirmation that the Emerald Archer himself Green Arrow will be making an appearance. There is no embed for his trailer at the moment so click the image below to check it out!



You can pick up Injustice: God Among Us when it hits stores April of next year.

i dont like the costume.....
they should have gone with something similar to the new 52.... it would have been badass....

I like his fighting style. Very similar to Hawkeye in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. I'm very good with Hawkeye.

@Splenda - Yeah I hear ya. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing The Joker here, but yeah...another Batman character.

On a serious note, Netherealm could also probably land the Watchmen. I say....Rorschach should be a downloadable character. Or Ozymandias. That would be badassery

I am so pumped for this game. I think I'm pretty good at fighting games, they're my best genre. I abosultely love that Netherrealm Studios is making this game, so pumped for it. I can't wait. I even have The Flash and Soloman Grundy as my facebook cover. I'm going to pre-order the collectors edition. Can't wait to kick ass as The Flash, he's the best DC character in my opinion.

Just to clarify: Batman shouldn't be able to kick ANYONE through a wall (let alone one that's 20 stories from the ground), because he isn't super powered. Ever!

yeah, don't think i'll be using a whole lot of peeps other than GA now that he is on the roster. people can hate costume all they want, its a fighting game! who cares? we should all be used to costumes being way dif in adapted media.

and for the record, i think this look fits the character and the style of the game

Once again, DC shows there is no continuity with any property they have. Everything seems to stand on its own in some other elseworld.

@dcjohnny, this is not really New 52, but it's own universe (NetherRealm). The GA costume is appealing to fans of this game:



so it makes sense that they tailor his costume to look like an assassin since it might attract fans from that genre.

Has anyone seen the Red Son Special Edition of this game? It's features a story element from Mark Millar's miniseries with Red Son skins for Superman, Wonder Woman, and Grundy.
