This interview had revealed that LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will bring back the local co-op feature to the handheld devices that has been absent since 2008 in LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures. This feature will enable players who have multiple copies of the game and multiple handheld devices to sit down together in a room and play-through the story mode wirelessly and together. This feature is also handy if you want to leave the room and continue playing with the rest of your family.

Although it isn't mentioned in this interview, the game will not feature free-roaming on the 3DS, Vita and Nintendo DS as a member on GameFAQS forums has emailed LEGO to which they respond and claim that the game will not carry the open-world.

What do you think of this new information?
