2K Games has released a new trailer for Mafia III, and it focuses on the motivations of the game's main protagonist, Lincoln Clay, and why he wants to destroy the Italian Mafia. The trailer offers a better look into the fictional town of New Bordeaux, while also showcasing the intense and violent gameplay the new installment of the Mafia series has to offer.

The city of New Bordeaux had survived the War of 1812, the Civil War and god knows how many hurricanes. But when Lincoln Clay went after the Italian Mafia in 1968, he inflicted more damage than all those wars and hurricanes combined.
It's 1968 and the rules have changed. After years of combat in Vietnam, Lincoln Clay knows this truth: Family isn't who you're born with, it's who you die for. Now back home in a reimagined New Orleans, Lincoln is set on escaping a criminal past.
