There were many complaints throughout the game series regarding the ability to dodge and strafe without it being a quicktime event. But the developers state that with this game, that will change. Also, new charcters are revealed. See below:
Thanks to DreadCentral for the news!
The game's controls have been overhauled, and they will now allow you to slide, roll in any direction, take cover, use an enhanced melee attack and, most importantly, shoot while moving. It was already revealed that zombies would be back in the series, but now we know that these zombies will be able to do more than simply shamble towards you; these zombies can also run, jump and use weapons of their own much like their Majini cousins did before them.
With the news of THREE protagonists for this new installment, fans would be familiar with Leon and Chris, but as for the third guy, he is an entirely new character, also, a new character teams with Leon to fight the good fight.
While cooperative play is still a primary feature in the game, we now have a little bit more information about the characters featured in the game including Leon's apparent partner. Her name is Helena Harper, and she is a government agent that was planning on transferring to the Secret Service in order to become a personal bodyguard of the President before the incident.
Of course, Chris Redfield is back in Resident Evil 6, and his part of the story takes you to the fictional city of Lanshiang, China. The entire game is set in the year 2013; however, Chris seems to be suffering from some horrific event that took place 6 months prior to him rejoining BSAA to take care of this problem in China.
Then there is the mysterious third protagonist in the game. While Capcom didn't reveal the name of this character yet, they did allow us to learn a little bit of his personal history by stating in the press release, "We’re still trying to track down his real identity but we do know this man is a mercenary currently engaged in a bloody conflict in Eastern Europe where reports confirm that B.O.W.s are increasingly being used. One day, he's told that he is the man to save the world. Whilst he doesn't understand the implications of this, he does immediately think how much money he can make from it."
Resident Evil 6 will hit store shelves on November 20th, 2012!
