In an interview with ArabicGamers (via IGN), Splinter Cell: Blacklist art director Scott Lee has revealed that the hit video games franchise will indeed continue on the next generation of consoles such as the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. "For next-gen there are a lot of plans in the works," he teased, "obviously we can't talk about that at the moment but I definitely look forward to seeing Sam in new adventures, bigger and better as we go along." He went on to definitively state that "Sam will be back," and reiterated that Splinter Cell is "a big and very important franchise" for Ubisoft. This is hardly surprising, especially after it was recently announced that Eric Singer (The International) will write the screenplay for a big screen adaptation which will star Tom "Bane" Hardy.
