Ubisoft are taking an active role in the development of the Assassin's Creed movie, and the franchise's Head of Content Aymar Azaizia took to Twitter to answer fan questions today, shedding some new light on how the project will tie into the video games and much more. The main highlights can be found in the Tweets below, and his answers are sure to come as welcome news to those of you who have played any of the games in the popular series. Based on how those have all linked to each other, we're sure to get at least a mention of the likes of Altair and Ezio.
In the movie, Michael Fassbender will play Callum Lynch in the present day and his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Joining him will be Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises), while Justin Kurzel (Macbeth) is directing. Assassin's Creed has been lined up for release on December 21st, 2016.
