Xbox One Reveal Includes Announcement Of Live Action HALO TV Series From Steven Spielberg

There have been many exciting announcements made as a part of Microsoft's Xbox One (the follow-up to the Xbox 360) reveal, but perhaps none more so than the fact that director Steven Spielberg is bringing a live action Halo series to the small screen. Read on for details!

There has been a lot of talk of a Halo movie over the years, but for various reasons, it's a project which has never really been able to get off the ground. However, during the reveal of their new Xbox One console, Microsoft confirmed that the franchise will now be heading to the small screen. The live action television series will be shown exclusively on the system as their LA studio continues plans for "pioneering the future of TV." The project is being developed by 343 Industries and Steven Spielberg, although his exact role in the series is unknown at this point (he'll direct at least one instalment presumably). This is set to be the first of many original Xbox TV programmes.

Xbox One is a dumb name but looks amazing. Never been a Halo fan but with Spielberg's involvement, it should be good.

Yea, I would've preferred it if it was called Xbox Infinity. Every thing else, I liked! 15 exclusive titles, 8 of which are NEW?! #HellYes!

I will believe when I see it! Though this should have ended up on the big screen!

People complain about the name "Xbox One" when the Wii could have been called the "Revolution". I think I've made my point.

Too bad this is coming about 5 years too late. Not many people care about halo anymore, at least the people I know. This will be cool if done right but I doubt it'll be master cheif focused. Probably will focus on the marines or ODST bs. Idk, I'm not too into it, yet.

Yeah, looking forward to this series, especially when Spielberg's involved.

The console... It's shit. But then again, I'll be purchasing both systems, PS4 and this. Expecting some good stuff from E3.
