Although their script for Deadpool will never get made, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are instead more known for their collaboration on GI Joe: Retaliation and Zombieland. But now they will be working on Sony's adaptation of the upcoming Ubisoft game Watch Dogs according to Deadline. Watch Dogs will hit the big screen along with Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, The Last of Us, Splinter Cell, World of Warcraft, and many other video game franchises that are currently having movies made by various different studios. And as Sony prepares the movie adaptation, Ubisoft will continue to make the Watch Dogs franchise bigger and better with more sequels. The game's creative director Jonathan Morin recently said (Via IGN) that while they aren't currently deep in development of a sequel, it will definitely take a much quicker time to make than the first game. "It's certainly not going to be the same amount of time if we ever embark on such a journey. A big part of it was defining whatever Watch Dogs is. Once you have that starting point, then what becomes interesting is what players want more of - what comes next? Watch Dogs will be available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3 on May 27.

The game was delayed like five times due to "issues" and the graphics don't look NEARLY as good as they promised from the announce trailer... I don't have high hopes for the game anymore, let alone the movie.

I think the reason why it was delayed was so it could have a shot at getting game of the year. It would have a small chance of winning competing against GTA V, Bioshock Infinite, and The Last of Us.

hackers um not really little bit I guess but it really about a machine that a guy made that spies on you every hour of every day and the machine detect acts of terror or if someone in danger of being killed so they go out save those people. Phone in watch dog can do that you can save that prison or let the violent play out your choose. there also other stuff about government and corrupted cops etc its good show. I see a lot of similarity of show and the game that why I made that comment.

Why is this getting turned into a movie. We still don't know if it will be good or not. Also why does Sony love making Ubisoft video games instead of their own. A Resistance, Warhawk, inFamous, Jak & Daxter, War of the Monsters, Omega Boost or Killzone movie could be really great.

Hopefully this new wave of video game films do well; not only to get some really good movies, but to also see the experimentation that can come about from these projects in the process.

It wasn't playable at PAX East, so that's either a worrying sign of another delay or another that they don't want people playing it till release. It has alot of claims of being bollshoted so this won't help it at all.

I noticed that Sony's game are the most cinematic and much more like movies than the other consoles.

Beyond Two Souls, Uncharted Series, Heavy Rain, and The Last of Us I can all picture as films just the way they are.
