It was announced last week that Halo fans will finally get a proper look at the long-awaited live-action video game adaptation this Sunday during halftime of the AFC Championship Game, and Paramount+ has now debuted some exciting new footage via a brief teaser.

The promo doesn't reveal much, but we do get some cool new shots of Pablo Schreiber's Master Chief as he prepares for battle.

The big-budget series is expected to stick pretty close to the premise of the original game, as an "epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant" plays out. The show is expected to "weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future."

Halo will also star Natascha McElhone as Dr. Catherine Halsey, Yerin Ha as Kwan Ha, Charlie Murphy as Makee, Shabana Azmi as Admiral Margaret Parangosky, Bokeem Woodbine as Soren-066, Olive Gray as Miranda Keyes, Kate Kennedy as Kai-125, Natasha Culzac as Riz-028, Bentley Kalu as Vannak-134, Danny Sapani as Captain Jacob Keyes, and Jen Taylor as the voice of Cortana.

No premiere date has been announced, but we should find out when the show is set to air this Sunday when the trailer is released.

That suit…

Looks really good. My only nitpick is that the helmet looks a little too small and he doesn’t seem heavy enough. Again just a nitpick since how do you make him look like weighs 1000lbs, I think it looks pretty cool so far

That suit is beautiful

How many streaming services can I subscribe to before I go insane?
Spidey91 - 1/29/2022, 5:38 PM
it took 9 years from announcement to reality so the fanbase is gonna be paying close attention to it.

Is this adapting the 1st game or is it its own story in the human-Covenant war?

I have such a soft spot for (military) space sci-fi, so even if the acting etc. writing is TV level mediocre, I'm gonna LOVE this show so much just based on the visuals, the amazing Spartan suits, the vehicles the scope. It reminds me of Mandalorian in that regard. I hope they do it like the Mandalorian which basically had 0 story, I hope they keep it basic without the extra cringy stuff TV always presents us.

I'm thrilled because i know absolutley nothing about Halo so i can't have another adaptation ruining something i like. And i always loved the armor's look.

Him walking looks super wonky
teefurtree - 1/29/2022, 11:14 PM
@ThorArms - It's almost uncanny to how Jon Bernthal's Punisher walks in a room.

Which is fine, it looks like he's being "aware" and on guard, but Master Chief usually looks so calm and cool, not jittery.

as someone who never played the storyline or owned an xbox, i hope the fans are left fulfilled.
