This first full clip from Assassin's Creed sees Dr. Sophia Rikkin (Marion Cotillard) hooking Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) up to a device known as The Animus, which will allow him to follow the path of his ancestor Aguilar de Nerha in 15th Century Spain.

Lynch doesn't seem to happy about it, but he might find he's more adept at leaping around rooftops as an Assassin than he realises.

Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Assassin's Creed also stars Jeremy Irons, Michael K. Williams, and Brendan Gleeson. The movie opens in theaters on December 21st.

Hey, just noticed if you look while Lynch is being raised by the Animus, there's the Animus 2.o in the corner. Just thought I'd point that out.

@MattBellissimo - It has my interest. I fear it might under-whelm. But i am hoping i am wrong.

I love Michael Fassbender, he is an awesome actor. He was truly the best part of the X-men Apocalypse.

It seems that mediocrity is the enemy to these types of films.

Looks alright, I'm really hoping for something good with this movie, you can get a really interesting story exploring the idea of what being in the animus could do to someone psychologically. Sure the games are interesting because of the locations in the past, but the movies could explore the more modern ideas of the bleeding effect and other side effects of the animus. It sounded like thats what they are doing for this movie from the interviews. They better not drop the ball. Not much hope since Cotillard was pretty wooden in that scene.

I'm watching this over Rogue Wars. I'm getting bored of SW so there's that will eventually catch it before it leaves the big screen. Hope Assasins Creed is good enough and get's positive word of mouth.
