What the future holds for 20th Century Fox's X-Men universe is anyone's guess? After reigniting the franchise with X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse landed with a dud. Now, franchise headliners Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender are indicating that they may not reprise their roles as Mystique and Magneto.

Add to that with the various hints from Jackman that he's hanging up the claws after Logan and the future of the X-Men film franchise turns into a blank canvas.

Will the next iteration of films focus on Josh Boone's New Mutants? Or are we standing on the precipice of a cliff that leads to a downward spiral and the eventual return of the film rights to Marvel Studios?


Logan is directed by James Mangold and arrives in theaters on March 3, 2017.

@Doomsday8888 - everything coming out for this movie gets me more excited! I feel a lot more thought and care have gone into this CBM than most the others. Logan deserves that great send off....until he comes back for Deadpool 3!

They shouldn't even soft reboot the X-Men after this. a they should just straight up reboot it period. Logan would be a great ending to the franchise so far.
