Patrick Stewart said he may return to the role of Professor X in X-Men 3 as early as next year.

Stewart told the Bradenton Herald: "X-Men 3 should come out in 2005," adding that he hoped the franchise continues for several more films. The actor added that he won’t be returning to the role of Captain Picard from the Star Trek franchise.
