Baskin-Robbins will take ice cream to the X-treme with an assortment of extraordinary frozen treats for their promotional partnership with Twentieth Century Fox's star-studded summer event, X2.
"We are excited to unite with Twentieth Century Fox for X2," said Joe Adney, senior director of marketing for Baskin-Robbins. "Our flavor production team has developed a collection of ice cream creations that reflect the theme and elements of this anticipated summer movie."
Baskin-Robbins will introduce a cast of treats, including bold, new ice cream flavors and exclusive sundaes, just in time for the film's release on May 2. These Marvel-lous new treats are sure to pack a punch when they hit stores from April 21 through June 15:
* Oreo(R) X-Mint -- Dark Chocolate ice cream gets infused with chunky Oreo(R) cookies and a swirl of Blue Mint ice cream in this power-filled flavor
* X-Treme Berry Sherbet -- Bold and colorful, this Blue Raspberry Sherbet is twisted with white tart Blueberry Ice
* Chocolate Vortex Sundae -- A frozen vertical storm will chill ice cream fans with Chocolate Chip ice cream, brownie chunks and World Class(R) Chocolate ice cream drenched with hot fudge and whipped cream
* Wolverine's(TM) Berry Rampage Sundae -- A delicious and fun treat made of X-Treme Berry Sherbet with strawberry topping, whipped cream, Wild Berry Wonka(R) Nerds(R) and a Blue Raspberry Sour Punch(R) Straw "X"
In addition to X2-themed products, Baskin-Robbins' X2 promotion will be supported with national cable television advertising, extensive in-store signage, Internet, and local promotions in the top 30 markets.
