According to movieweb & numerous sources on the internet Bond 23 has officially been put on hold due to MGM currently awaiting bids from other studios to assist in the production costs for the much anticipated return of 007. This means that we possibly MIGHT not see Daniel Craig's return in November of 2012 as previously promised by MGM.

While pre-production may have halted, the screenplay is still being written at this time. Peter Morgan, Neal Purvis, and Robert Wade are all currently collaborating on the first draft, though no story details have been released. Purvis and Wade who had previously collaborated on the screenplays for both 007 adventures Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.

While Daniel Craig is slated to return for James Bond 23, no director has been

I really hope this doesn't take to long yo clear up. I really enjoyed the first two,but what do you guys think of this recent development?

Casino Royale was OK but Quantum of Solace sucked. I've seen Daniel Craig in a bunch of films and he's not a bad actor but I say Michael Fassbender for Bond!

Slashfilm has already debunked this. The old "Bond is delayed" story from last APRIL had accidentally been re-posted by someone, which caused the story to be picked up again by a ton of other outlets... like the idiotic movieweb.

HailtheBale@ They already top it with Casino Royale. Which was directed by Martin Campbell like Goldeneye.

[frick]ing hell, Its gonna happen with Craig the same shit that happened with Timothy Dalton in the end of the 80´s, Craig contract is prolly gonna expire, and we´ll have another Bond(which I think should be Clive Owen if necessary!)
Nice find.

A repeat of Dalton Bond fate?

Why can't this guys at EON get it. This should give every actor a trilogy. The third is always a charm.

For Connery -- Goldfinger (The first to Break $100 million)
For Roger Moore -- The Spy Who Love Me
For Timothy Dalton -- It should have been GoldenEye

Oh well, to be a double-O it takes two.
