Director David Yates' take on The Legend of Tarzan will put a new spin on the classic Greystoke tale, beginning the story with a settled John Clayton being forced to return to his wild ways to come to the aid of his wife, Jane.

This latest poster for the movie features the two leads surrounded by some jungle pals, who will no doubt come in very handy during the inevitable battle to come.

It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Leon Rom (Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.

Directed by David Yates, The Legend of Tarzan stars Alexander Skarsgard as Tarzan, Margot Robbie as Jane, Djimon Hounsou as Chief Mbonga, Samuel L. Jackson as George Washington Williams, and Christoph Waltz as the villainous Captain Leon Rom. It's set to be released worldwide next July.

Cool poster, though Margot doesn't seem so integrated into it.

@Shazam - It looks like a really fun movie. If it's good, I could see it doing Planet of the Apes like numbers. So here's hoping for a sequel.

Damn she has been getting a role in every Warner Bros movie.

As for Skarsgard, he should have been Thor..

The gorillas could look better I think. Post Rise of the Planet of the Apes, we should see nothing but quality ape character designs but these gorillas look kinda shit.

Seriously when was the last time Warner Bros made a good movie that is base on a classic story? I would be much more optimistic if this was in the hand of Disney, which is their thing. I really hope this would be good though, not anything like... urgh.. Pan.

@ComicsBornAndBred - Tarzan was taught to speak by a Frenchman if I remember right. Same character who brought him to Paris.
